Drigmon's Adventures
Chapter 10 yo!

The street that branches off just before the corner of Chestnut and Maple had seen better days. Sylvan Street also lay in ruins. It's the street the the van took on it's great escape away from the scene of destruction. No, don't picture a little van in your head. This van was big and bulky. A set of twin cannons on the top. A satellite dish the size of a large large satallite dish. A mean set of tires, the big mean-looking ones, and a bumper sticker on the rear fender that said "I DON'T BRAKE."

Drigmon and Fanapalla lay unconscious in the back of the van amidst loads of computer equipment and lots of beeping machines. Well, they're unconscious. It seems pretty stupid to talk about them since nothing cool is going on, so I'll change the subject.

Courtney began waking up. She hadn't known what had happened. She was talking to a mysterious old lady one minute and then things started shaking and then those things started falling and then she herself had started falling bacause those things that were first shaking, then falling, began hitting her. There was no sign of the mysterious woman at all. Nor the people who assisted her. She could see her Hyundai across the street. It appeared to be in good condition, but two telephone poles were down on both sides of it making it impossible to try and leave. Her arm hurt. She only noticed her arm hurting first because that was where she was bleeding from. She then noticed her whole body hurt. Her head was pounding harder and faster then her heart. She prayed to God that she would make it through this. She has a strong belief in the Lord above, and it's cool that she has some sort of faith to fall back upon when things seem to go astray. But her worrying is unneeded. She will be fine. She thought she could hear a repeating pattern thundering off in the distance. She noticed that whatever it was was getting louder and it was coming from around the corner. She steadied herself enough to be able to walk the distance to get a look. Just as she began peering her head around the corner, not more than five feet away she saw a horse in full gallop with a knight and a woman in what appeared to be a Barn of Tacos uniform. Although in loads of pain, Courtney was very much impressed with how good the woman looked in the uniform. She's not from any of the chains in this district, thought Courtney. They were already what looked like a good half-mile down the street.

Thunder clapped and lightning struck from out of nowhere. It began to lightly rain and the sky began to darken a bit. She heard thunder roar even louder this time and at the same instant there was a blinding flash of light. This knocked Courtney back towards the wall. When she regained sight enough to make out basic shapes, she could see what looked like a giant mirror in the middle of the road between her and her Hyundai. First, a very oddly-shaped machine began poking it's way out of it. It had wheels on the bottom like a car, but with a huge bubble dome made of glass on the top. Weird little things beeped and lit up all around the machine. It made its way out of the mirror slowly. She then noticed a man was actually pushing it out of the mirror. The man was very hairy in the face with large glasses. He appeared to be about four feet high in height and was very round. He was not at all handsome, and Courtney would even go as far as to call him ugly.
